This book is about a drunken girlhood and how she turned into an alcoholic. "Still the loss is worth it because I have won Natalie's respect." Her true friend wouldn't make her do something she didn't want to do. Even though she thinks that it's a good idea to drink because Natalie is it's mostly the worst plan possible for Koren. Why would drinking get you respect? It just makes you more idiotic than you already are. I think peer pressure is the worst part of having friends sometimes. Your true friends wouldn't want you to do something you didn't want to do.
