I am from a camera, 

from vitamin water and photography.

I am from the Jonas Brothers posters covering all my walls.

Soothing, relaxing, it sounded like a water fall in the amazon.

I am from the fern, sunflower, and a book, thick and descriptive.

I'm from pozole and cowboy boots,

from Elias and Jose.

I'm from the-don't-tell-anyone's and what-are-you-talking-abouts.

From eating your nails can kill you and looking at the sun makes you blind.

I'm from I didn't read the whole bible

I'm from California and that's it.

Carne asada and homemade salsa

from the day when my grandmother died from cancer, the day my uncle was diagnosed with diabetes.

Up on a shelf in a closet 

worthless but memorable pictures,

fun days

remembering the day  and moments.
